WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE TRAVEL ON CELTIC ADVENTURES TOURS?

People from all over the world enjoy our tours, we don't enforce any hard or fast age limits but people are generally aged between 18 to 35.

You don't have to be super fit to come on one of our tours but there are a number of walks of up to two hours in duration. If you only want to see Scotland and Ireland through the window of a bus then this probably isn't the tour for you. We endeavor get out there to create more of an experience than just a bus tour.

WHERE DO WE STAY?

We stay in quality budget accommodation normally hostels. All accommodation is booked on your behalf and costs between £11 of £14 per person, Please note that this is not included in the price of the tour.

In Ireland the cost of accommodation is covered by the food and accommodation kitty. Most of the hostels have twin or double rooms available for a supplement of £5 in Scotland or 5 Euros in Ireland per person per night.

Please let us know if you wish private rooms at the time of booking.

WHAT SORT OF PLACES WILL WE STOP AND VISIT?

Our philosophy is that as well Celtic Crossas taking you to the places you have heard of, like The world famous Giants Causeway and Loch Ness, we will also take you to as many 'off the beaten track' places, that you couldn't reach by public transport or never find on your own.

Since we have smaller groups there is more flexibility. So if it’s a nice day and you want to take a wee detour to go swimming in a waterfall then we can do that!

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE THERE ON EACH TOUR?

Irish tours the maximum group size is 14 for the 6 day Scotland it is 16 and on the 3 day Scotland 29. Smaller groups and smaller buses mean that the tours are more personal with the opportunity to visit more places inaccessible to Large coaches.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

A good sense of humour, a camera with lots of film or memory card space, some CD,s for the bus if you wish but we have a huge amount of music to satisfy all tastes, a waterproof jacket on the off chance that it rains and a change of footwear would be advised for wet days. You don't need to bring any sleeping bags or hostel membership cards.

WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT FOOD?

For Both 4 & 6 day Ireland tours we use a food and accommodation  kitty system which covers all your accommodation excluding supplementary costs for double and twin rooms nearly all your food including breakfasts, lunches (one pub lunch the rest are picnic) and evening meals are covered by the kitty.

We have lots of vegetarians on our tours so no issues with that at all. On the 6 day Scotland tour there is a kitty that covers evening meals and accommodation for the 3 day Scotland tour you pay for your accommodation on the day of arrival and you are responsible for your own food but recommendations are made to aid budgeting.

WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION BEFORE AND AFTER THE TOUR?

We are happy to book the night before and after the tour for you, whether you are finishing in Edinburgh or Dublin. There is no charge for this you just pay on arrival at the hostel
