HOW DO I GET FROM / TO EDINBURGH?

By Train takes less than 5 hours to travel from London. Tickets can be purchased online but buying in advance is advised to make best savings. Try East Coast.
By Air takes about an hour from London flying from all major airports. Flight Operators include EasyJet, BMI, British Airways and Ryan Air.
WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE TRAVEL ON CELTIC ADVENTURES TOURS?
People from all over the world enjoy our tours, we don't enforce any hard or fast age limits but people are generally aged between 18 to 40.
You don't have to be super fit but there are a number of walks of up to two hours in duration. If you only want to see Scotland and Ireland through the window of a bus then this probably isn't the tour for you. We endeavor get out there to create more of an experience than just a bus tour.
WHERE DO WE STAY?
We stay in quality budget accommodation, nominally hostels. All accommodation is booked on your behalf and costs between £12 of £20 per person. Please note that this is not included in the price of the tour.
Please let us know if you require accommodation before or after your tour, or if you wish private rooms (which will be more expensive than a dorm bed), at the time of booking.
WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION BEFORE AND AFTER THE TOUR?
We are happy to book the night before and after the tour for you, whether you are finishing in Edinburgh or Dublin. There is no charge for this you just pay on arrival at the hostel.
WHAT SORT OF PLACES WILL WE STOP AND VISIT?

Our philosophy is that as well as taking you to the places you have heard of, like The world famous Giants Causeway and Loch Ness, we will also take you to as many 'off the beaten track' places, that you couldn't reach by public transport or never find on your own.
Since we have smaller groups there is more flexibility. So if it’s a nice day and you want to take a wee detour to go swimming in a waterfall then we can do that!
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE THERE ON EACH TOUR?
Irish tours the maximum group size is 16 for Ireland and 29 for Scotland. Smaller groups and smaller buses mean that the tours are more personal with the opportunity to visit more places inaccessible to Large coaches.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
A good sense of humour, a camera with lots of film or memory card space, a waterproof jacket on the off chance that it rains, as well as, a change of footwear would be advised for wet days. Also, bring sun lotion and swim wear for good days. You don't need to bring any sleeping bags or hostel membership cards.
WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT FOOD?
All hostels are in close range of supermarkets and pubs. In fact we often arrange pub meals and cook-ups as required.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUNDS POLICY?
You can read our complete refunds policy here where there are also other general notes about your tour.
